Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith almost had a storybook end to Sunday's down against the Rams.
In the wake of missing most of the final quarter because of a right elbow injury, Smith reappeared the game for the last drive at SoFi Arena and had the Seahawks on the cusp of a wild success. Jason Myers' 55-yard field objective endeavor, in any case, cruised wide right to protect a 17-16 win for Los Angeles.
Lead trainer Pete Carroll portrayed Smith's physical issue after the game as an injury on his rear arm muscles or back of the elbow that puffed up, however Smith had the option to get it sufficiently free to get back to the game on Sunday. Nonetheless, Carroll let correspondents know that he didn't know of Smith's guess for Week 12 as the Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
"On Thursday games, you're stressed over everyone returning," Carroll said.
Smith seemed as though his day was finished after he persevered through a success from Rams cautious tackle Aaron Donald close to the furthest limit of the second from last quarter. Smith was in clear distress following the play and was assessed in the clinical tent on the sideline prior to being considered problematic to return.
Drew Lock filled in for Smith for most of the last edge and battled against an extreme L.A. front. Lock neglected to lead Seattle to a first down in quite a while and a capture on his last pass of the day prompted the Rams' go on drive.
Smith then returned the game with 1:31 left and immediately drove Seattle into field objective reach in five plays while showing no issues with his tossing elbow. Myers' miss, however, fixed the success for the Rams.
Smith's elbow will merit checking in the near future as the Seahawks face a fast circle back.
